Car Insurance Glossary
Condition of Car Insurance - A requirement that is placed in the policy that you must obey or risk voiding your policy
Disclosure - You must not lie when applying for car insurance or you risk invalidating your policy
Excess - This is the amount that YOU have to pay when you make a claim
Fully Comprehensive Car Insurance - This is the highest level of car insurance that covers you against most incidents.
NCB (No Claims Bonus) - This is how many years you have had car insurance without making a claim. Being a named driver doesn't count.
Third Party Fire & Theft Car Insurance - This wil cover you against third party costs, theft and fire. Your car is not covered in an accident under your insurance.
Third Party Insurance - This the absolute bare minimum of car insurance required under UK law. It covers third parties ONLY, your property is not covered at all.
